BIG DAY FOR MDA DANCER ANDREA HILL AT THE UNIVERSIY OF WATERLOO PERFORMING ARTS THEATRE!

Fourteen year old MDA dancer, Andrea Hill, attended an event called The Battle of the Next Generation on Sunday August 27th. This event was designed specifically for dancers looking at professional opportunities in the industry. It is an annual Scholarship Competition and was recently held at the University of Waterloo.  A jammed packed day of Audition Classes, Interviews and Solo Competitions along with Question and Answer seminars with Casting Agencies, Modelling Photographers and personalities from Video, Movie and Film. This event was a great experience for Andrea giving her insight into the world of dance outside of the studio.  Wanting to pursue dance as a career and knowing how to do it are two very different processes. Having more perspective on both is crucial education for a young aspiring dancer. Andrea was awarded Two Scholarships; one for herself to attend a Dance Convention this Fall and the other for her MDA Teachers … recognizing Excellent Training 🙂 Way to Go Andrea!
