Last weekend Muskoka Dance Academy teachers Miss Sue, Miss Lynn and Miss Kristen, attended the annual Dance Masters of Canada (Dance Masters of America, Chapter #38) “Teacher Rejuvenation Workshop”.  Dance classes and informative Dance Teacher workshops were provided for two great days of dance education and Teacher bonding. The weekend ended off with an official ceremony in which Miss Kristen received her Dance Masters of Canada (Chapter #38) membership and was recognized as a “Certified Teacher” specializing in Acro and Jazz with the prestigious dance organization “Dance Masters of America, Inc.”.     Way to go Kristen!

The Muskoka Dance Academy was well represented on Saturday November 3rd at the Algonquin Theatre for Huntsville’s annual Hospice Show fundraiser.   Way to go Hailey Scott, Molly Paulsen,  Emily Hill,  Robin Hunka, Anne Dube, Lyall Turvey, Andrea Hill, Jaimie Boysen, Meagan Johnston, Miss Suzanne, Miss Kristen, Miss Lynn &  Miss Sue.

The Ultimate Halloween Dance Party

&  Saturday Halloween Dress Dance

The Muskoka Dance Academy was busy celebrating this week enjoying a spooky time of year.  Friday Night October 26th we held our Ultimate Halloween Dance Party and Saturday morning October 27th was our annual Halloween Dress up and Dance.  What great faces, smiles, costumes, dancing and fun.  Everyone had a blast!

The Muskoka Dance Academy is holding “Open Auditions” for young aspiring dancers to be apart of a NEW Community Performing Arts Company. This non profit Dance Company will be given performance opportunities at various local events throughout Muskoka.  No experience is necessary however Acro, Musical Theatre, Jazz/Hip Hop and Vocal abilities are beneficial. Dancers must be currently enrolled in a dance class at an established dance studio in the Muskoka area to qualify for a position.  This non profit company will start rehearsing in October and begin touring this Christmas.

The Muskoka Dance Academy will be at the Huntsville Place Mall Monday September 10th, Tuesday September 11th & Saturday September 15th for Club Registration and Public Awareness Week.  Studio information will be available throughout the week as well as FREE dance classes for young aspiring dance students.  Come and check us out!
