Tippy Toes for Tots
A special program for tots 2 to 3 years old. This class combines creative movement, dance, crafts, and tumbling. It is a fun way to introduce little ones to music and movement. Participants must be toilet trained.
Intro to Dance
This class is offered to dancers 3 years of age and will introduce them to various dance disciplines through the use of music, mime and creative movement technique.
A 30 minute class on various types of mats designed to help develop motor skills. Unique props and fun games are integrated into an action packed class enhancing balance, agility, strength and coordination. (18MONTHS-3YRS)
Tumble Tykes for Boys
A high energy activity specifically designed for boys. Music and mats are used to teach tumbling techniques, break dancing and hip hop to “The Guy”. (4-7YRS)
JazzA fun and popular style of dance which incorporates famous historical dance steps with dynamic movement and current pop music. Leaping, Turning and high energy learning makes this class a very popular choice.
Hip HopA refined form of street dancing made popular in the 80’s through music videos. All the latest trends and styles are taught in this high energetic class. A popular and fun class for all ages. Classes also available “Just for Boys” 4yrs-10yrs.
BalletBallet, the artistic gateway to all other dance disciplines teaches body strength, stretch, discipline, graceful lines, proper posture and optimal alignment. A structured Ballet barre and centre floor practice are introduced at various levels and stages. Based on the Paula Morgan Technique. Syllabus studies include Vagonava, RAD CDTA and Cecchetti.
TapTap teaches counting, rhythm, coordination and style. A favourite class among the little dancers who like to make music with their feet. Intricate rhythms and shading make Tap dancing a unique percussion instrument. Basic combinations are taught to students to develop a vocabulary of both historical and current choreography.
TechniqueThis technique is the backbone of our program. It uses mind over muscle, to develop a solid core strength and advanced agility.
AcroIdeal for developing strength, motor skills, agility and coordination. Bending, balancing, flipping and walking on your hands are just a few of the tricks introduced. Partner tricks and stacking are taught to at advanced level.
ContemporaryMade popular by a variety of modern day television dance shows. A free style form of modern expression and creative movement coupled with the use of unusual body shapes. A form of Lyrical dance using emotional expression and current choreography
Aerial SilksFor everyone 4yrs-Adult. Upper body and core strength are developed as dancers learn how to properly suspend themselves upside down while wrapping their bodies in beautiful silk fabric. Showcased in circus shows everywhere. An elegant and athletic art. Registration in Acro or Technique class for proper conditioning required for under 18.
Beat BoysA high energy activity specifically designed for boys. Music, mats, movement and space provide an ideal environment for tumbling, break dancing and hip hop. Rhythm, balance, co-ordination, strength and agility enhance confidence and self esteem.
Musical TheatreThis class is designed to enhance the spirit of acting and singing in a theatrical Broadway style. Basic dance steps are taught with the use of music, props, and signing. Projection, creativity and staging concepts are introduced through the use of dramatic monologues, choreography and dance.
Couples BallroomThis class teaches the basics of ballroom dancing. Participants can learn Swing, Cha Cha, Waltz, Foxtrot, Disco and Rumba. Private Ballroom lessons are available upon request.
Adult JazzEnjoy the fundamentals of Jazz in a low impact movement class. This class is specifically designed for Adults … great music in a fun environment improving rhythm and coordination.
Adult SilksAdults enjoy developing their upper body and core strength as they learn the basics of aerial work. Climbing, hanging upside down and creating beautiful pictures while suspended on a piece of colourful silk provides a great workout
Adult Swing TapThis class concentrates on making different rhythms with your feet. Adults learn a series of historical Tap steps accompanied by music from a variety of eras. This is a fun way to get in shape, brush up on musical skills and do some good old fashion tap dancing.
